Straight answers.
Does it really work without internet?
Yes — fully. The books live on your device, so billing, stock and printing never touch a server. Internet is only used when you're signed in and a backup mirrors up; a failed backup simply retries later. A power-cut-and-hotspot day changes nothing at the counter.
What happens to my data if my computer dies?
On the free plan, your safety net is the backup file — download it to a pen drive or Drive whenever the app nudges you. With Parchi Plus, every save mirrors to your account automatically and a snapshot is kept per day, so a dead computer costs you nothing: sign in on any machine and the books come down.
Which printers work?
Any printer your browser can print to: 80mm and 58mm thermal receipt printers, and A4/A5/A6 on inkjets and lasers. The layouts are tested against real print output — letterhead and totals land where they should, page after page. Barcode labels print on standard sticker rolls and A4 label sheets.
Will my barcode scanner work?
If it types like a keyboard, it works — that's every common USB and Bluetooth scanner gun, 1D or 2D, from about ₹1,200. No drivers, no setup: scan anywhere in the app and the product lands on the bill.
Does it handle GST filing?
Parchi produces month-wise GSTR-1 CSVs — B2B, B2CS, CDNR, HSN summary and document series — that your CA can file from directly. The tax split itself (CGST+SGST vs IGST) is decided by place of supply on every bill, and a GSTIN that doesn't match the customer's state is caught at entry.
Is this for desktop or mobile?
Parchi is built for the desktop counter and normal printers — a proper A4 tax invoice from the PC at the till. It still opens and adapts on a phone, and your account brings the same books to every signed-in device. If your counter is your phone and a pocket thermal printer, that's what our other product, Daily Hisaab on the Play Store, is built for.
